Agrimonia striata (Agrimony) - photos and description
General: Erect perennial, single stemmed or sometimes branching above. Stems pubescent.
Flowers: Yellow flower spikes appear in mid July. Flowers measured at 9 mm in diameter, flower spikes measured to 6 cm long.
Leaves: Leaves are alternate, pinnate, with up to 16 leaflets. Leaf highlighted above was 20 cm long (including petiole) and 9 cm wide. End leaflet measured to 6.5 cm long and 3.5 cm wide.
Height: Height listed in Budd's Flora to 80 cm, we measured plants to 122 cm tall.
Habitat: Habitat is open woods and roadsides in the parkland and boreal forest.
Abundance: Fairly common.
Origin: Native.
When and where photographed: Took the above photos July 12th in the Porcupine Hills, 450 km northeast of Regina, SK, and July 21st, along a pathway in boreal forest at Duck Mountain Provincial Park 300 km north east of our home in Regina, SK.
