General: Prostrate annual plants with leaves in a basal tuft. Plants glabrous.

Flowers: Small white flowers on short stalks from the crown, flowers measured at 2 mm diameter.

Leaves: Leaves have long petioles, blades are elliptical. We measured a leaf blade at 9 mm long and 5 mm wide, petioles measured to 8 cm long.

Height: Not applicable.

Habitat: Mud flats and shallow water.

Abundance: Budd's Flora lists the plant as "found occasionally".

Origin: Native.

When and where photographed: Photos taken June 30th growing in mud in a dried up stream bed, Cypress Hills about 450 km south west of our home in Regina, SK.
